If you’ve stepped into MOD•LÜM lately, you may have noticed a tiny new addition behind the counter- my daughter, Eleanor, born at the end of May. She’s already a regular at the shop, cuddled in my arms or sleeping in her stroller while I ring up orders and chat with customers. And honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way.
This past year has been nothing short of transformative. MOD•LÜM officially came to life in March 2024 with the launch of our online store, followed quickly by the opening of our brick & mortar in April. What started as a dream turned into a full-time reality when I left my corporate job in July to fully embrace this new chapter. That same summer, I took on the role of Chamber Director in Cascade- a position that’s allowed me to connect even more deeply with our community.
And somewhere between managing inventory, hosting local events, and curating the MOD•LÜM aesthetic, life threw in a few more surprises. In late August/ early September, my husband and I traveled to Ireland and Scotland with friends. A trip filled with soul-refreshing moments and unforgettable memories. Then, in October, we found out we were expecting. Eleanor’s arrival this spring has added a whole new layer of meaning to everything I do.
MOD•LÜM has always been about intentional living, curated beauty, and celebrating the everyday. Now, it’s also about motherhood, flexibility, and the joy of building something that allows me to be present for my customers and my daughter. If you stop by the shop, there’s a good chance you’ll see Eleanor with me, soaking up the rhythm of small business life from day one.
